Music Empowers Foundation Announces Multi-Year Grant to Benefit Little Kids Rock Across America

Andy Davis, Founder of Music Empowers Foundation was joined by Kris Allen, recording artist and 2009 American Idol winner, and Dr. Phil McGraw to announce a multi-year grant to the Dr. Phil Foundation to support Little Kids Rock Across America. The grant, which was announced at a Little Kids Rock teacher training seminar in Los Angeles on February 27, 2010 will be spread over two years and will total $100,000. According Andy Davis, Music Empowers Foundation’s monies will help to fund new staffing at Little Kids Rock and help to bring free guitars and an innovative music instruction program developed by Little Kids Rock to 25,000 children in major metropolitan areas across the country. Little Kids Rock is the largest nonprofit provider of free musical instruments and instruction to under funded public schools in the U.S.
